Challenge Rules

Verification of purchase price is required.   If purchased non running total of vehicle and repairs can not exceed $1000

Part of the challenge of this tour is finding the vehicle.    Once registered you are not required to pay the fee until 3 weeks before departure.   This is to insure if you don't have a car for the trip you are not out any money.    The fee covers the cost of the Pilot car rental.  

Tires, oil change, and belts do not count towards the thousand dollar limit.   

All vehicles participating are required to have current registration as well as general liability insurace.  

You can sell parts off your car to fund other areas of the vehcile.   example.   sell unused interior parts for mechanical parts.   

The Pilot Bus will contain a basic tool kit.   If your vehicle has issues it can be fixed on the trip using those tools.   

If vehicle is unable to be repaired.    Leave the signed title in the glove box and finish the trip on the pilot bus

Basic fluids and belts are permitted to be taken on the challenge. Suich as Water, Oil, Power Steering Fluid, Transmission fluid and accessory belts. 

One passenger is permitted and may share driving responsibilities as long as licensed and covered by insurance
